hmmm but on getting AOR/SA at least you get to know that yes we are in queue of approved people and now are being processed....

in current state you know nothing about future of your application even whether its accepted or rejected

I have looked into the email again and it actually says that my application was received on the 27th or March by CIC. So I figure this is the date that you are going to enter in the spreadsheet. (Not that it matters really.)
