Hi Alvin,

Don't worry about that. The driving license and health card are provincial while the PR application is not. So these are two different processes belonging to different departments. Therefore, changing the name won't affect your PR Application. But you have to take into consideration that hopefully when your PR application is approved, everything will be released in the name you wrote down on the application. So you have to make sure that your driving license and health card have the same name as the one you entered on the PR application and not the opposite.

Hope this helps :)

omg, i dont know what's wrong with my application. i do not get my MER so far.

They received my application for permanent residence on March 1, 2012.

:'( :'( :'(

I also sent email to them on Sept 21, 2012, they said: your case is currently in queue for review by an officer.

Can you see your application status on ecas? If you have not already, you should email CPP-O and ask for your file number.

it says application received april 4th, is usually 15 months start after receiving a file number ??? are these months that already passed are counted ?? my lawyer told me he will email them and let me know

yes, i did.

they replyed me that may case was currently in queue for review by an officer on Sept 21, 2012.

no more response so for. :'( :'( :'(

Wondering if anyone is experiencing this also...

I applied in March, have received request for medicals and police certificate.
Problem is that I had sent in my police certificate about a month after my application and I sent it to Sydney office as it was before my application was transferred to Ottawa.
Now Ottawa say they dont have it and noone is able to help me?

Ideas?
Advice?

get them again even if it takes 2 months to get them and consider yourself luckier than the rest of us.
but tell them that you are getting them so they know about any delays.

Hi Yumine

Have you emailed them again since then?? or called?? In their response on the 21st Sept, did they ask you not to contact them again and wait patiently?

My 120 days is tomorrow and i've drafted my email to them already. I'm so frustrated that it's taking so long. I'll probably fail the medicals from high blood pressure (providing i ever get them LOL) :'(

Hey guys, i got a letter today from ottawa and the subject of the letter saying, APPLICATION E0000XXXXX - READY FOR VISA and it say's

The processing of your application for permanent residence in Canada is almost complete.

PLEASE READ CAREFULLY ALL OF THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION BEFORE PROCEEDING FURTHER. YOUR APPLICATION WILL BE FINALIZED AT THE CANADIAN CONSULATE GENERAL IN DETROIT (USA). IF YOU STILL HAVE ANY QUESTIONS AFTER REVIEWING ALL THE STEPS IN THIS LETTER, YOU MAY CONTACT THE CONSULATE GENERAL OF CANADA IN DETROIT BY FOLLOWING THE INSTRUCTIONS ON THIS WEBSITE.

There asking me to pay RPRF, send my passport, 2 passport size photo, piece of paper with height and eye color and send everything to the canadian consulte in detriot, usa.

Does it mean my application is approved? do i have to worry about my application? I've been thinking my application everyday since i submitted my document to CIO, nova scotia until now. Is there any chance i will be rejected?
