Hey there about 3pm I received my notes......did you get yours yet?

Wow really thats great did you find them helpful?
I still did not get mine. This is so strange they didnt respond to my follow up email either. I called CIC they wouldnt help me and said there was no phone number but I did end up finding a phone number and I called and all you could do was leave a message and of course no one returned my call.

Has anyone heard of this? I really dont know what to do

what day did you send for yours? Did you pay by credit card and are they coming by email or snail mail? Snail mail will take longer then the 30 days.

And yes I found them helpful.

So I think I know what happened here. Looks like I used old forms. I dont even remember now how I got the forms but they are older versions so they must have just ignored my request all together. Thats a shame that they didnt at least tell me I would have fixed it right away if I knew.
Looks like I have to start again here

Can you please confirm the option you select is 4C Electronic files right?
And also what do you select under the category that best describes me (I am the wife who is the sponsor) options are: academia / business / media / organization / public

Also did you check of the proof included box or send any proof? I live in Canada and have a mailing address in Canada so I just want to double check that I dont have to do that? I dont want to make any more mistakes :'(

What are GCMS notes? And how do you apply for them?

GCMS notes are computer generated notes about your case, you can get all information about your application. you can get reason for interview also, why did they decide to schedule an interview for you.
you need to be in Canada to apply but your wife can order GCMS notes for you. sometime it takes 5-6 weeks to get these notes so you should apply asap. there are 2 forms you need to download, you need to sign one consent form authorizing your wife to get information about your case from CIC.

Ok so I think you would click public it looks like...the proof, i sent a copy of my passport you want to click on status of application and it should work, it worked for me when i tried and then click electronic files, citizenship files, don't click paper files! I wouldn't think you would have to pay again use the receipt from the first time.

Thank you! I am having a bit of a freak out though! Contacted them to arrange payment of the final funds, and they're suddenly telling me I need to provide proof of funds of like $10,000... came out of nowhere! Bah!

Proof of funds? For a spousal application? That shouldn't be required. Who told you this?

That's what I thought. I'm a fulltime student (student loans and grants, if I worked full time I wouldn't get enough money go figure -_-) so when we applied I included this information and bank statements. Husband works full time, we have some savings (not 10k, but pretty close). Apparently they now have decided that I never provided information proving that I can support him, since I don't work, and they've been looping around and not giving me a response about exactly what they want... first they told me proof of funds over 10k. I contacted them asking them WTF was up with that, NOW they just keep replying with a standardized response form saying they need a letter from my employer or my Option C printout from CRA... which only has the non-taxable income from my grants/bursaries. It's incredibly frustrating. I don't know if I should send them bank statements with our ~8-9k in savings, lists of our finances, proof of my loans, proof of his current employment, etc, or if I should start looking for a job ASAP... (which would screw me over and make me unable to finish the year I have left of school)
