I sent it out yesterday, will be shipped today. Guess they wont open it until April ..

Our application was sent in March 16th, received March 20th. It is great to have our application in finally, we have had the application ready for months, all we needed was our wedding date! We had been waiting for his divorce to be finalized so we could get married. Well that took a while, we had to change our wedding date twice. But now, wahoo!!! we're happy to be officially in the waiting game! :) BTW he's british, we're doing outland application, he's still in the UK but spending a lot of time here. He's been in the UK for 2 weeks now, another week and he'll be here for a month :)

Hmmmm. We sent our application to Mississauga -registered express post, were expecting it to be delivered yesterday. Checked the tracking site and it still says it's "out for delivery" and therefore hasn't been signed for yet. :o

Good morning all. I sent my app in Feb 27th and it was delivered to Mississauga Feb 29th.....I still have not heard a word yet and it is driving me crazy......There has not even been an update on the CIC website this week......what the heck is going on???????

I jsut came back from Jamaica Sunday...after hearing Friday that my Husband's Visiting Visa request was denied.

I went to an internet cafe in JA, and printed off all PR forms...we filled them out, and signed them...just to then realize, blue ink could not be accepted. I completed everything online, and sent out the papers for his signature again yesterday.

sadly I guess we will be April applicants.

We met a few years back through a mutual friends wedding....Igo visitthe island on a regualr...spakrs staring flying early last year...we have been married since Oct 2011. Thank God for love, cause if it was anything less than i wouldnt even bother...all this paperwork....etc....my gosh. ...

Really bummed out about his Visiting Visa no going through..and we had all our ducks, and proof of income lined up, everything....guess they're concerned about hm not returning to JA after his VISA>...cause rocket science is if we are married...well obvously we would try and make him stay longer. Makes me angry...

Glad I found this forum to see im not alone.

Hmmm I used a little blue ink. Oh well!

We were also denied for a permanent resident visa. The immigration officer suggested we withdraw our application actually so it was not officially denied. That really threw all our plans off. Our stuff is moving in April and we will be living with the barebones waiting for his PR. We are in California right now. And things are such a mess and taking so long! I just want to get sponsorship approval already! I am a February applicant actually but like checking out the other month threads. Sorry you got denied but hopefully he will be with you soon.

ive got a great job..and all the added perks..but if my husband isnt part of the greatness well i simply will pass.

Anyhow he gets refuses PR status...im outtie JA here i come (if need be).....HUGE sacrifice in many ways...but that is what marraige is all about.

its a pity so many of played with the system in the past, ...im seeing 55 days to process my stuff..and resident of JA 16 months?

no sah. dont think i can manage it. had i had known i could have began his process even before we got married.....pffft. Im kicking myself right ya now.

I hear you Anada, I am kinda going thru the same thing, we got married Jan 14th and on Jan 17th, they told his other process was denied and he had to go back to JA in one month........i don't foresee any reason why he would be denied to come back here but if it ever happens you can sure bet I will be living in JA because I want to be with my husband! This waiting period is killing me though!

Ok, I can calm down now, Canada Post now lists it as successfully delivered. Now the waiting begins....

CIC updated the processing times...75 days now....if we are lucky.

Somehow the thought of knowing that I won't hear anything from CIC until the end of May is incredibly frustrating.

Your not kidding but at least they are finally being honest about the time lines!

I am glad too. It seems more realistic. And I hope they work out their kinks soon so the process can speed up a bit for everyone.

In the mean time, all we can do is wait. But waiting sucks :P

Mid of June I have to extend my Visa again, same time Sponsor approval should come in. If they refuse its time to fly back to Europe, paid by the CA government as without a work permit for more than I year I ran out of savings ..

Interesting will be if they make credit checks for the sponsor. My wife works full time since 15 years but cant keep money together and has total debts of $50.000, convicted in court for not paying anything back since months. It would actually stupid to approve her being a sponsor as one day after I would be landed PR she will file bankruptcy ;D

Report to moderator! You just have no pot to shit in so stop shitting in our backyard Go home! If anyone wants to know why im so pissed on top of this post go see the other one in the petition topic! This is why we hv to wait 75 days! An example right here!
