I didn`t get any email, checked the junk folder as well.

As per CIC, they have mentioned, that they send a letter on June 4`th. So hopefully letter should come in a day or two and the application is approved.

Congrats on your approval!! =) If you call them tomorrow they will tell you over the phone that you were approved.

why don`t they mention on the site that the application is approved if at all it is approved.

Is it comnon for everyone, that they dont mention, application is approved ?

Please advice.

It goes on to say : We sent you a letter on June 4, 2012 about the decision on your application. Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us.

I haven`t got any letter yet.

Hopefully, it means my sponsorship application is approved. My application was received on 8`th March 2012.

Question how do you check CIC before you get your approval? I thought you had to wait to get your approval before anything was on the site? Dont you need a case number? im so lost

May I ask what information you are using to login to the eCAS? I know it is probably too early for us to have anything in the system, but I keep checking the website anyways and it keep telling me there is no record of us

I use the UCI on my PR card, and my date and place of birth as the sponsor. Am I doing it right?

On a different note, going back to your comment, abbyss, I agree with you. I don't understand why they don't just say "approved" instead of all that stuff they write about mail delays, blah blah blah.

I was thinking that with the new validated forms (both for sponsor and the main applicant) it should be really easy to fire off an automated AOR email or snail mail: they are SCANNING our information as barcodes, which means, all they need to do is to scan those sheets when they are doing the initial checks. Then their system can email the sponsor the AOR or some automated snail mail printout, if there is no email address. I guess I am asking for too much. But I honestly fail to understand why they enforce the use of these forms so much, if it's not being utilized to streamline the process. Haven't they been returning some applications because they weren't using the new versions?

Speaking of new forms, can anybody check their barcodes on the applicant's forms? (IMM0008). The new forms generate the barcodes that have the old forms dates on them. Basically, if you look at the "caption" that each barcode has, it should say something like "IMM0008_07-2011_3" so, FormNumber_FormDate_QuestionNumber. However, the form number is IMM0008 (02-2012). Has anybody else seen something like this? If so, I really fail to understand what they have changed in the forms, as the barcodes are still dates to last July.

In CIC website, I check the application status and it reads:
Sponsorship Application Status: Application Received
Permanent Residence Application Status: Application Received

I also called them yesterday and their automated phone system said application received on March 12.

It used to show nothing on their website. Should I be excited already or should I just keep it down for now?

For simtbt, they only got the file when u r approved as sponsor it will change the left ecad file recieved to decision made, and when u click wat ever the decision they made can be read. If u r approved then the file is sent to ur vo, once they get it the file.recieved on the right sidebin ecas will be updated saying vo got applicant file... And that is ur AOR.

Ya, my application will be forwarded to Ankara, but I don't know about further details as I reside in QC, and MICC (the QC immigration) has to issue another document (CSQ) to the visa office.

If what I got is a sign for the approval, I hope you get the same thing soon if not, I still hope you get our approvals soon

Well, and OAR in many cases will follow very soon with the actual approval! Normally within less than a week, if no documents are missing. Great!!
I'm so happy every time I see some one passing another step Wishing for a quick process for all of us!

Crossing fingers I hear you on the preparation front! It took us a long time to put things together, too, and then we checked and double checked. So I am also hoping CIC will be happy with the application package on the first run!

I am canadian though i was born here so i dont have a PR card
I tried using the receipt number from my online payment and i must have tried too mny times with it not working and it locked me out.. weird.. i think i will just have to keep waiting.. i really hope they have my package i have not received anyting.. all i know is my purolator package was signed for by the mailroom march 23
