March 2011 Applicatn - Still haven't received my AOR

I submitted my complete package on March 9th and my money order was cashed out on April 28th. I see that a lot of people who applied after me have received their AOR but I still haven't received anything. It has been more than 5 months now. I'm very worried about my case. Should I inquire about my case to CIC? I wonder how I can do case specific inquiry when I don't even have my AOR. Is there anybody in the same situation?

hi, in your case, since you don't have your file number yet, it's better to wait til you get your file number. coz all enquiries must have a file number. you will be getting soon. don't worry.

I don't know if this works for money orders, but if you can get a record of the money order ("proof of payment"?), your file number might show up on that. This is known to work for bank drafts, but money orders are a different kind of instrument.

Either way, you can request your CAIPS file without a file number. That takes a few weeks, so you'd probably get your AOR before you got the result, but if you're really worried that's one way to go.

i applied in feb & AOR is still awaited
