March 2011 applicants

Dear Fellow Members and applicants,

we are also from Pakistan and currently live in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. My husband is main applicant and I held the duty of a consultant and applied by own in March 2011. Our application was accepted in Nova scotia, sydney and then was transferred to LVO. Our timelines are:

Application Sent to Sydney Nova Scotia 29 March, 2011.
Rcvd by NS, Sydney 05 April, 2011.
PER letter from NS, Sydney 06 May, 2011 mentioned our application is eligible to proceed and will be transfered to VO London soon.

RBVO 26 or 27 May, 2011 and since that day till now its 16 months and no news. I sent a CSE 4 times but they have different replies. Pending review by IO, process not started yet, awaiting officer review.....etc, but I have noticed one thing that whenever they reply, at the end of email after regards I always noticed this address:

"LBM
Immigration and Medical Services Division
High Commission of Canada
38 Grosvenor Street
London W1K 4AA, United Kingdom

Government of Canada."


What do u say in this matter? Can Olympics be the reason of delaying cases in London VO? I am going to apply for GCMS today.

There is nothing to regretting any thing.. Its normal and you might get news in September.. I told you to apply GCMS note to get the clear picture.. That will help a lot at least for point calculations and all.. You can e-mail again to LVO .. No harm.. In last our forum member canada_future got Postal mail via TCS in Karachi to send almost complete application along with RFPF and PPC but no Medical.. You can ask him for detail.. He applied in the Same NOC as you did..

For some optimisme on my beloved thread, I would like to share hints and informations about my landing experience, here we go:

I am back to Dubai after my smooth landing experience in Montreal.
I applied under FSW but still I landed in Montreal though lots here advised that I cannot land in Quebec, They asked me for Quebec Selection Certificate I said that I don't have it, then they process my landing with no issues at all, so guys you can land anywhere in Canada with no exceptions.
The whole process from laniding to leaving out the aeroport took 30 mins, They asked if I have any cash on me, I said the amount but they didnt ask for any Proof of Funds nor any printed photoes for belongings to follow or accompanying, the agent just write manually whatever I told her myself on a paper and signed, that's all. All in all everything was smooth and everybody was welcoming me and my family.
It was a bit hot in Montreal as the houses are built cold resistant and not heat resistant, I believe we are spoiled by AC in Dubai and even 25 degrees make us feel hot....what do you think guys??? yet it rains many times during my stay there.... My daughter really enjoyed the rain and the huge parks with all facilities... I did as well in fact...
I am going back for good next year, Canda is a nice place to live though it's very challenging to leave our comfort zone here in Dubai.

Chalen Allah aap he ki sunn lain. Its been 3- 4 days since I snet all docs to the email u gave me. I mean applied since 4 days. they sent me an email which I am copying for u below:

"Thank you for contacting the Access to Information and Privacy (ATIP) Division at the Department of Citizenship and Immigration Canada. This email is to confirm receipt of your inquiry. Please note that you will only receive a response from the ATIP-AIPRP mailbox if your inquiry is in regards to an Access to Information request, a Privacy request, or an ATIP-related matter."

No status update so far still waiting. Lets c what GCMS or CAIPS say. By the way do we have to send the LVO the consent as it was written in the end of consent to send it vo where we submitted our app. cant understand what does it mean. Lets see and pray for best.
