Ur lucky that u know that CIO has ur application. Just have patients u'll get the AOR soon inshallah. My application was received by CIO on 24 of FEB 2010 and and i waited for 120 days and after that called them, what i got to hear is they don't have my application in their database i-e not received by them...ha. so they told me it will take a month to find out wht just happened. this is dam frustrating & irritating and u know what, it my second time I filled my fist case on 24 SEP 2009. The moral of story is don't lose hope try try try and try until you get the PR...

It is really sad to hear that.

But by the grace of God, u will soon hear a good news in this regard.

All : I called cic today the call center agent said it will take 10 weeks to know whether my case is approved or not from the date they charged my credit card. They charged my credit card on on 14 April 2010. so they said, i will get a reply on 23 Jun 2010. If not they asked me to call them on 24 June 2010 to get the status.

FYI:
I sent my application on 17 March 2010.
Call center agent didnt ask abt tracking #. He asked only my personnal details.

As per the cic guide they have divided it into High, moderate and Basic level.
High Means = Listening : 7.5 , Reading, writing, speaking : 6.5

Do we need to get the high in all the modules, is this written anywhere in the cic instruction guide.

If somebody is getting an overall bank of 6 , is he eligible or not?

Is the band anyway associated with point system, I mean If I am getting 67 with the band of 5 , is this sufficient or I need to get band 7 irrespective of 67 points.

You can get any score you want in the IELTS. The eligibility is based on the points you secure from the test & not the test result as such. Thereafter you need 67 points to qualify.
