Hey Guys.

I got admission in ontario college, but PR in ontario is pretty much difficult. So I'm thinking to move to manitoba or other province where we can get PR easily after my 1 year PG diploma.

But I read that if you do study at other province you get ties of that province and PR become pretty much difficult at other province if you move there. So I thought I could study another 1 year course at manitoba college. So to balance that I have ties in manitoba too.

Am I taking the right decision or should I do another course at ontario only. Because I'm was thinking to do 2 year diploma rather than PG diploma, but now things are critical

Any suggestions. Seniors come on.

hey man

Actually one of senior member told me, not to do PG diploma as they're useless.
But doing 2 year diploma in ontario could jeopardize my chances for PR. So now I have to do PG diploma

thanks for your output though.

If you wana go with Ontario only and want to make your PR path easy then go with 2 year program. If you wana make your PR path super easy go with Manitoba or Saskatchewan. You must keep in mind the upcoming rules for PR. They are making it hard and hard. As per current rules, if you have one year experience in Canada you can apply for the PR but it will not be like that in 2015. So far, what I understand, employer must select you from the "Express Entry Pool". However, rules are not cleared as yet.

read below for more info.
cic.gc.ca/english/resources/publications/employers/express-entry-presentation.asp

Hope this would help you to decide.

In my opinion you should study in Manitoba instead of studying in Ontario. If you wanna take two year diploma in Ontario, try to do that in Manitoba as the pnp rules are easy for those who study in Manitoba(6 months any work for those studying in Manitoba) as compared to students who study in other provinces,

hey Anoop mate,

I can't change my 1 year course now. So i thought to another 1 year course in manitoba to balance it out.

As Mpnp requires you do 1 year post secondary course in manitoba + 6 months of any occupation.

Thanks for your output.

MPNP looks easy, but you should keep in mind. You stayed in ontario as an example, you should better stay longer in manitoba than other provinces + show your strong tie with manitoba. Then , it shouldnt a problem. So, if you studied in outside of manitoba, I would recommend that studying in manitoba more than 2 years in order to make sure your strong tie with manitoba.

Manitoba pnp requires atleast a 1 year program.. Don't waste your money taking 2 years program after one year...paying international tuition fee ain't easy.

Hey.. Dont give a wrong advice. one year is not safe for some cases if they intend to apply mpnp.
If she or he used to stay in outside of province, their mpnp cant be guarantee.. although they work more than 6 month in manitoba.
I already visited to mpnp office with my friend. They advised that it is much better to show a strong tie. For example, studying in manitoba longer or working more than a year for some people.

Hmm it's not started on the website, but if you say you went to the MPNP office to confirm then I can't doubt it, perhaps Saskatchewan is a better option than Manitoba for people who previously schooled outside Manitoba then.....personally I think if someone schools on Manitoba and works for one year instead of 6 months before applying , that should be enough tie to Manitoba because out of province grads are eligible to apply if they work in Manitoba for one year according to the MPNP.... Advising someone to run a program for 2 years with the current changing situation may not be the best as well because MPNP may change any minute Once Ontario grads start trooping into the province for PNP.... I am currently in Ontario and would be moving to Manitoba this fall for a 1 year program..

What if I come over to Manitoba on a 2 year Working Holiday visa and work for 6-9 months in Winnipeg (Capital of Manitoba). Will my application for a Manitoba PNP have a high chance of being selected despite not having studied there?
