Just an update:

I have sent an EV request this morning (SG time); and I have been replied w/ a form to fill up.
As expected, I am required to have an IELTS score and with the 30-day timetable; I hope I would be able to take the test in a week or two. Hopefully, I would still be able to make it to the Feb 16 deadline. Or else, I'll have to go thru the process again of requesting an EV.

Happy to see that you're making progress. Try to book for your IELTS now. To meet up with the deadline means you have to write your exam this January, cos you'll have to wait for 13days to see the result electronically and you'll give fees days for the hard copy to be delivered to your address. Make sure you put all effort into the exam to achieve a good score. I wish you all the best.

If you participated in an exploratory visit to Manitoba in which you are expected to explore the housing, schooling, employability, health and driving for 10days, you will then meet with a MPNP immigration officer for an interview after which you receive an 'invitation to apply'.

Thanx for the info mayoress... and what if I dont want to explore housing and employability???.... I guess do not have a chance to get the invitation letter... , cause u know... we all want to apply immediately for PR... right??

Your performance at the interview will determine if you'll get the invitation to apply. So it is a must you make effort to research about where you intend to migrate, with this you will be able to convince the immigration officer at MPNP that you're serious about relocating to Manitoba.
For employability you need to talk to potential employers, they don't have to employ you immediately but to know if you're employable and kind of collect complimentary cards to show to the IO as an evidence that you've explored the employment aspect.

You're send a request to MPNP to visit Manitoba. If your request is granted then you travel to the province to explore if you're employable as well as check the housing, health, schooling, driving and even banking. The exploratory visit will be for 10days, thereafter you will meet with an Immigration Officer(IO) at the MPNP office for an interview. The IO would want to know if you're employable and if you have made effort to know about the housing, schooling etc. But note that MPNP will not issue or process the visit visa for you. Under the Strategic Stream, you're not expected to know anyone either in Manitoba or all other provinces. It is for those who don't have relative or friend in Canada.

This is not the right way to get a response to your post. People pay consultants to package their immigration applications but in this thread we all help each other one way or the other base on information we have. Also note that some forum members take the pain to research this route of immigration and this involve sacrificing some precious time in order to source this information and concluding that for your post not to have been asnwered you are not welcome isn't good.

Anyway, from what I know about exploratory visit (EV) under the strategic stream you dont need the settlement plan documentation as you will find under the general or family stream of MPNP.
