I applied Permanent Residence through Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (International student stream), I'm wondering what will happen if I decide to move to other city (because of a better job opportunity)? I know Manitoba has really advantaged Provincial Nominee Program, because it's trying to keep skilled people to stay here.

I want to apply for Canadian Citizenship when I'm eligible (within approximately 2 years), but I need to know does it matter which city I stayed in? Because I got PR from Manitoba, if I move away to other city, will my application get rejected? Does anyone have experience, appreciate it if you can share with me!

Thank you in advance!!

many people have done it, but i find it unfair on the part of Manitoba after putting its effort in admitting its nominee and later abandoning the province...

I understand what you're saying. I feel unfair to abandon the province too, but truth is there are way more job opportunities in Toronto/Waterloo in my professional area.

Any other people can share their experience?

I think after PR card there is no issue to move anywhere. If you stay the same state where you got PPR Card would be feasible but there is no har and fast rules if you got goo offers from any other Province. Please re check from other peoples too. Thanks

I agree with Blessed me.

You should serve the state and work there with your heart and soul. You can surely find your desired job in Manitoba. Best of luck :)

As a Provincial Nominee you are obliged to live, work and settle in the province that nominated you. If you become a permanent resident and later applied for citizenship, your application won't be rejected simply because you moved to another province. However, you sponsor might not be able to endorse future applications because of you leaving for another province.
