MANILA VISA OFFICE TIMELINE - Sponsoring parents only.

I'm a little confused.

We originally applied for parents in Japan in Summer 2008.
They received our application November 26, 2008.
Last year, after the "PAUSE" we got a request for information, which we filled out.
Feb 27, 2012. Decision Made. APPROVED... on to part II.

Apr 2, Tokyo sends request for medical. (At this point, in one email they said it would take only 6 months assuming the medical results were okay)
May 16th. Received notice that Tokyo office has been closed!!! Application transferred to Manila. OH NO!!!
August 2nd. Application started processing by Manila.

That's what I have so far. However, I'm not sure if we're at the back of the line in Manila or we maintained our position with Tokyo closing. Apparently, Manila didn't receive the passport scans, so we had to resend those and they say they haven't received medical. However, these medical records are sent from the hospital, not us!

Once the application is considered "In Process" in Manila, how long does it usually take? They seem to take forever to respond to my emails asking them what they need. I've been waiting 3 weeks just for a response. Does calling the office in Canada help at all?

Our flight will be on October na We scoured the web for cheap tickets and we found one for $570+ per person.
I hope we will have safe trip!.

Welcome here. Your parents' application will be processed the same way with all other parents' sponsorship application in Canadian Embassy Manila (CEM). However, yours will take longer because CEM will have to contact Japan for your parents' security check and all other necessary documents. It is posted on CEM website that inquiries regarding status update will not be answered. Also, they pointed out that repeated inquiries will cause further delays. All local visa offices are most often best to reach through fax. About the "in process" online app status depends on the officer and the documents you submitted. Perhaps we can hear some more information from Dags who just got passport back with visa on August 4 after about 6 months...I am glad to have you here please keep us all posted.

P.S. CIC will not give you instruction other than contacting the CEM. I tried it in July, but they told me in their return e-mail that only CEM can tell me what to do since my file has already been transferred to this LVO.

Welcome back, Dags. May I know more about your E-CAS before you guys received your visas. You mentioned that it was still "in process" when you got your passport back. What about medical update, was it posted with "in process"? How long did you exactly wait after you submitted your passport? What about that cheap flight, can you share the link to that site?

Hi to all palamig na palamig dito sa canada! Sana umulan na ng visa dyan sa atin sa pinas still waiting for the visa's of my husband family. almost 4 years and 6 months na silang naghintay hopefully lahat sana na naghihintay ng visa dumating na.

We didn't apply for my mom's extension yet. My mom arrived last June this year. I didn't see any date stamped on her passport that she's allowed to stay here in Canada. No stamped date even when she arrived. I'm a little bit worried because the passport is in Manila. Her flight back to the Philippines is next month. I guess we have to call the airline to keep her airline ticket open. I'm not sure how long is she allowed to stay here probably six months. If that's the case she's okay for now until December.

Guys i need help!
Nakareceive ako ng letter from immigration that i need to pay the RPRF na 980.00 but i did pay already nung 2008 pa and its 1200.00 pa nga for the fee ... I cant call right now sa cic call centre kasi close na sila for the evening ... To think i kept the copy of mg receipt nung nag bayad ako but i dont know why theyre still asking for the fee ... Is this another fee ? Im confuse ...
