your welcome badtzmaru! why movers?!? are you going to use cargo? how much is it per bbox?!? may limit ba sa weight?

just use double layered box & packaging tape is enough. aalisin din nila yan kpag may tali pa.

u know i bought my coat in greenhills rami sila dun nagbebenta ng signature coat ;D. basta tawaran mo ng todo ibibigay nman din nila.
nilagay ko lang sa check in baggage ko folded...yun lang.

@rslcanada
Lol! Nice tip re the greenhills coats! =) Thanks rin sa reply re tying the bbox.

Yup, cargo forwarder po gamitin ko (mas mabilis lang i-type "mover" kasi.. haha). I checked yung ni-post dito sa thread about Big C cargo. Sya pa lang nache-check ko.

According to information from their website 110USD per box, minimum of 3 bboxes. Weight isn't so much the concern sabi sa site if I recall right. So parang 13k est. for 3 boxes. Grabe. Plan ko pa naman sana at least 6 boxes. Lol! I haven't really started knowing about other forwarders yet though (plan to do this and everything else after my last day of work).

May ma-recommend ba kayo or others in this thread na baka mas mura?

Just a suggestions....

Buy your winter clothes in Canada, too bulky & it will just add up in your check in baggage & avoid excess baggage wt. Reasonable price na rin nman sa Canada mga jacket & they sell what is suited for winter and boots too. Just bring sweater if you arrive there summer or fall season.

Thats the lesson I learned during my first flight going to Minnesota yr 2005 (nearest US state to Manitoba)....nag panic buying din ako ng thick jacket sa pinas pero di ko nman nagamit kse di angkop sa tindi ng weather sa Minnesota...below freezing pt. Marami nman pala available sa US stores & rami pa choices with matching winter hats, gloves, ear warmers & headbands. During spring ako bumibili ng winter clothes pra super sale kse tapos na winter & be ready for the next snowy weather. Mas ok pa bilin nyo dyan yung mga coat for fall season.

goodluck sa mga nka rcv na ng visa & good to go!

:) tnx for the info. cnbi ko din s husband ko n mas ok nga din if most of the winter clothes will be bought in Canada....makapunta nga din ng greenhills :D tnx s info :)

BTW, may mga ka forum members ba dito na bound to Calgary South West or South East? tnx :D :D :D

hi mc_geh. my personal opinion lang ha. your brother can go through the process better on his own. the cic site provides ton of information plus this forum. siguro, the only time an agent/consultant is needed if there are legal complications. like an unfinished legal case on annulment or even a civil or criminal case. pero other than that, self sufficient na talaga basta well informed lang. you may also refer him to this info site on Canada Immigration.

we received ours last wednesday. they sent it via DHL... sa DHL din namin pinadala passports namin nung mag-PPR. ewan ko lang kung related yun or may iba pa silang ginagamit na courier. Yours will come in time. Good luck. Keep the spirit up.
