@virgiemaricel - hmmm.. i don't think PDOS is mandatory.. I've read on some of the threads that they're going to stick something to your pp's and without it you can't leave the country. But I agree that "walang wenta" pag attend nun... ;D

can anyone confirm this?

"Pre-Departure Seminars for Temporary Workers and Permanent Residents:

Applicants who qualify and are issued visas to enter Canada as permanent residents and temporary workers are required by the Philippines government to register and attend a pre-departure orientation seminar (PDOS) before they leave the country."

Check nyo rin po itong site n ito dun ko po kasi nakita ito ehh. and lahat po nang seminar n need nyo specially ung COA and CIIP nandyan narin po lahat sa site n yan and free of charge po lahat pati contact number and email address:

charlie5 it's ok to attend w/out your visa, we had already attended last feb.10 w/out it........just make a reservation and go their, on the day just inform them that you don't have their requirements, just like mimi0713 had said bring the letter of PPR as proof that you already send your PP and waiting the visa.......they are not strict naman but it is their SOP for you to bring the requirements as all written in their replies.....it is so much informative and they have the most pamphlets and books to be given for you to read and learn, go and try to attend since we are all waiting for our visa...

..QUESTION po??? mahaba din po b ang line-up para sa Schedule ng COA or mtagal po b kyo bago nkakuha ng Schedule to attend? Do you have their landline nos. kasi sa website nila.. wala nasagot... I txted & Emailed them for schedule last Friday...

hi darlove, medyo matagal din ako nakakuha ng slot kasi january yng napili ko na month. i started asking or reservation almost 2 months before, i texted them weekly but i always get the reply that they have not yet finalized the january sked. unfortunately delete ko na ang mobile number nila sa phonebook ko.

hello guyz, a day to start the whole new week with hopes and waiting mode for us. HAPPY MONDAY EVERYONE!!! ;D ;D ;D ;D

Yup, voluntary ang CIIP & COA pero according to one immigrant (who's already in Canada for years), ang laking tulong daw talaga when she took these seminars. May free snack pa raw sa COA. Mandatory yung PDOS pero wala raw kwenta. Yan lang naman eh feedback sa akin. Kaya last sa sked namin ang PDOS. ;D

Thank you! Naka schedule na ako sa CIIP kahit wala pa ako visa, yung sa COA hindi pa hehe. Ayaw ko rin ng Pdos eh, na attendan ko na yan nung
working visa ako sa USA, puro topic naman eh remittance haha. Actually, since 3 years ako sa USA, at ngayon lang ako umuwi meron ata
ako dapat bayaran, parang insurance na binayaran before. Pero hindi ko na alam bahala sila haha.

nakakathrill ang week na to hopefully matanggap na natin mga visa natin. pero the more na tumatagal the more na mas na aapreciate natin yun salitang "pag-asa, pagtitiis, pagsusumikap at hirap= visa!!!!!!
