di na. naginquire na ku before.. ung sa bassinet reservation lang ung kailangan inform advance if you're going to need one kasi parang limited lang ung seats na may bassinet.

di na kailangan sila i-inform. if ever na sitahin yung water sa airport, just tell them na para sa baby yun & i-aallow naman nila yun. it is advisable na magdala ng water na ginagamit mo sa baby instead of requesting water sa mga flight attendants sa plane. mahirap na kung manibago ang tyan ng baby kung ibang water gagamitin.

hope somebody can spare some time in replying to my query. we submitted our passport to CEM for visa stamping last sept 17, 2011. just today, our ecas address disappeared but still in process. what could be the meaning of this? does this mean that our passports with maple leaf stamp are arriving soon? in how many days?

we are just so excited and at the same time anxious about this whole thing. we checked our ecas every single day

hi DCHO,

I have read some of our forumates' posts and they all vary....some got their visa back ranging from a week to months after PPR and PP submission. I also have seen some that got DM on a certain day and got their visa the next day...so this all depends on your VO.....Hope yours will get to you soon!

hi everyone!

just wanna share my landing experience... ive been here for a week now..

from Mla- HK- Toronto ( cathay Pacific) , Mla- Hk= 6am, went there NAIA 1=12:30am, i thought pwedeng magpa check in maaga, like sa PAL na intl. flight na you could check in kahit 10 hrs. before, pero hindi pala... check in started like 3:15/ 3:30, so antay lang talaga... check in was ok, although i have to transfer some stuffs kasi, ang isang luggage 15, ang isa 25kg, so transfer lang... after that went to customs, ang haba ng pila, ok nmn after that, until toronto, all my flights were on time. thank God.

in Toronto, 1st you'll go to customs,then they'll look at the disembarkation card given at the airport,i declared i've carried 11K+ CAD, customs only asked again if this is my 1st time in canada/1st time immigrant,how much i brought,if ive got things to ff., then i was forwarded to the immigration section, the line was long btw in customs & immig, i was asked the same thing, & was told that my PR card will be mailed in the address after 6-8 wks.. then forwarded to service canada section, was given books & infos. on canada, then went to get my luggage, when i was about to exit, the customs on the exit checked again my disembarkation card, & said since i've carried 11K+, i should go another room, i went there, actually there are alot of people in there too, went to the available customs officer,he asked me again, and said to fill up the e67 form i think, not sure, basta a sample was given during PDOS/ COA, so i told him, i already pre-filled that, he even said that it was complete & very good, and when he saw my b4 form, he said,its not needed, and needed only if you have goods to follow, i didnt argue, just thank him & exited, he was actually very good & accomodating to me.. there's really no need to worry if you carry more than 10K, d naman sila nag ask / papers to show where you got your funds...

a day after my arrival, went to apply SIN + opened a bank acct, OHIP after 3 months pa naman... ive started applying yesterday.. waiting for that, hope ill be employed soon.. coz important may Canadian experience ka.. kahit ano, para next mag apply kana, you have reference na to put with regards to your Canadian experience... that's all i have to share... hi kimwayne. the job market here varies. nag-depende rin syempre kung regulated ang occupation na papasukan mo. tama yung tip na to network agad. create a linkedin account and browse thru the search job engines. make sure to update this from time to time. in my case, headhunters contacted me upon my arrival and interview ka agad and soon after employed na rin ako. goodluck to all.

to everybody... just wanna share our travel/landing experience. We were very blessed that our flight was not cancelled even though that same day was the rally of PAL employees .... days before that super worried na kami with all the news in tv about Phil Airlines. But, unfortunately our departure schedule was 6:50 pm but we left Pinas at past 10pm. Luckily, the aircraft have it's individual monitor so we were not really bored with the long hour of travel. In addition to the airport experience in terminal 3, the attendants were really friendly eventhough our baggage was beyond the allowed weight they didn't charge us.

On the other hand, when we reached Canada the list of all the goods were not asked. I don't know if maluwag lang sila that time but they didn't even bother to look at it. Nagpaka busy pa naman kami to list everything... ;D -- but to all parents na magdadala ng milk formula ng kids...keep the package. We declared that we have milk with us because we have a 3 yo daughter with us, the not so cool thing that happened was we forgot the packaging at wala kaming available nito sa handcarry namin so nag open pa ng check in baggage namin to look for it. After nila makita yung box they allowed us to go. They were not really strict with regards to pirated things....but please...don't risk it, baka sa time lang din namin sila di nag check.

About the boxes, have it really secured with packaging tape...kasi halos wasak na ung 1 box namin nung nakita namin. With regards to the settlement fund, the immigration officer did check our bank draft pero yung cash di na tiningnan. Also bring jackets in your handcarry kasi pag labas nyo ng airport sobrang ginaw na. Don't forget to bring cough medicines for your kids, kasi yung anak ko 2 weeks pa lang kami e may bad colds na...dito sa BC wala pa naman yung medicard agad so its good to have private insurance/travel insurance. With us, we have the travel insurance of Blue Cross.

God bless eveyone...Maganda dito, malamig...so enjoy the heat while anjan pa sa Pinas and hug all your loveones coz your gonna misssss them sooooo much kahit kausap mo sila araw -araw sa skype!
