Manila V.O. - Waiting for the Passport with the Visa

Guys, it's monday once again...we still dunno what we can expect from CEM!

Was it advisable to send an email again to them reminding about the status of our visa?

I already sent them an email last February, reminding them that its already past 90 days since we submitted our passports to their Office.

This is really such a burden! Was it really worth the wait?

Hi norbieumali. It's good to follow up if you have compelling reasons to do so. Maraming na-fast track dahil nag-cite ng urgency like pregnancy, upcoming examinations, expiring contract overseas... Otherwise, baka its better to wait (yun lang naman ang magagawa). One good thing to note is the releasing is getting consistent. It may be slow but its moving nonetheless kaya konting patience na lang siguro.

Im glad na positive result din sa inyo, after 2 days ko nareceive visa namen nung tumawag sila and friday dumating ung visa via dhl. This thursday na flight namin bound to ottawa. So lahat ba ng test uulitin ulit? Sana mareceive mo na din ung visa nyo para umabot kasa ohip. Due ko is on Sept 12. Good luck to all of us. Balitaan mo ko ha! Kayo sa kayo dun?

Hi corbe01, naku super lapit na pala ang alis niyo... kasi thursday sila nagreply via email mga almost 5pm na un, then waiting kami ng friday tapos inisip namin they don't deliver ng saturday or sunday naman... then today monday waiting kami for the package. hopefully dumating na ngayon nag pa tempo-booking na kasi kami baka kasi hindi kami umabot sa OHIP pag natagalan pa ako ng 3 weeks dito. huhuhuh ang laking gastos nun. Regarding the tests, ung OB ko for my first child doon, yup hindi nila tinanggap lahat ng tests, they requested for new tests as in lahat halos Urine, blood, HIV, sugar, yung glucose, then ultrasound. Standard daw un pero siguro depende sa magiging Ob mo or baka standard sa buong ontario? I really don't know pero okay lang naman.. mahirap lang kasi ung fasting diba? hehehe. Sa toronto kami. BTW, mga how much ung payment sa package? and wala ba talaga silang saturday or sunday delivery? I just want to be sure kasi... or we have to call again the emabassy para ma rush.

Hi! DHL (02) 8798888. Kami rin waiting for visa nag DM po kami last May 3. Sana po this week dumating na kasi may flight reservation kami malapit na deadline. God Bless

Yup.. Sabi nga ng isang thread poster (who hasn't been requested to undergo the medical exam yet, full docs submission pa lang sila, and app sent to CIC NS on May 2010) in the forum where I got the info: ".......so ang count pala ng 2 to 3 years eh from the date of receipt of our full documents....,waaahhh.. feb 8 2011 ang sa akin so..max of 2014 pa? grabe.

Imagine muntik na ulit my app ma-affected a second time around. The first one was a pre-FSW NOC38 app submitted in 2007 (then FSW NOC38 came in effect in Feb 2008). And muntik na this current one submitted to CIO NS on Jan/Feb 2010 ma-affected rather significantly by the FSW NOC29 ruling as per the CEM feedback.

I'm not sure how they got the "2-3 years" information though. But it's a relief na lang po talaga that we've undergone the medical exams and the passports are with CEM na. We are "safe" (*fingers crossed*). And thankful that we still made it. =) hehehe! Sana tuloy tuloy na nga. Go go go. 8)
