We need a lot of patience pa tlaga...kami nga we are due to fly back to Phil this coming 15th of April. I don't know what to do now..To send an email requesting if we can borrow our passports for this travel or wait until they return our PP.

as I promised, Im sharing to you guyzz our Landing Experience ;~))

..it was so easy experience dealing with the Immigration officers here in Van Airport...medyo mahaba lang ang line-up... but the questioning from the IO was just the standard questions that you can easily & reluctantly can answer.. we were asked how much money did we bring & we just answered "Total of $___ in Bank Drafts & $ Cash" and that's the truth... with regards to our luggages, they did not bother to check or even touch those, we just gave them the "Embarking Card" then "Hi/Hellow" that's it... we're Good to Go~!

..we are now here in Vancouver for a couple of days more to meet some friends & family...then we're Off to Calgary/Alberta where we planned to settle... we're still confuse & getting some more informations on where to settle... better place for us, as my Hubby is an Electrical Engineer... hope you guyz can help us & give us more info...

Keep in Touch & hope we can meet here in Canada.. IngatAlwayz~!

There were previous post that made such request and were granted. It turned out to be better because the requestor's VISA was processed earlier than most - mas napabilis pa. My opinion is inform the CEM about your situation as soon as possible. Others, please make a comment on this as well.

hahhaha ... nde naman 2012 charlie5. Your expiry and mines are almost the same. One day lang pagitan. From the looks of it, tantya ko lang, in other words - hula, the release of our visa would be somewhere mid-April (the earliest) or mid-May (the latest). If it comes earlier, magpalakpakan tayo at mag-celebrate Pwede rin kasing maging exception tayo tulad nila canada73 at carlonoweast.

Your correct heatspine, we are currently residing in Vietnam and I don't want to renew my work contract anymore for this immigration thing. I am drafting my nice and courteous email now to request for our passports back..will see how they will look into our situation. Just hoping it will turn out to be a positive one.


If I just know ahead that the process will slowdown might as well I've rather choose to give birth in Canada.hu..hu. But for sure in his time we will all get what we are waiting for.

charlie5, tingin ko siguro nasa 50 to 100 visas per week siguro nirerelease nila? imagine kung ilan ang applicant na may visa validity ng 08/26/11 siguro madami din... di ba halos everyday madami tao sa mga DMP para magpa medical, so ganon din kadami ang may sabagy sabay na validity dates...

ang madami tayo talaga yung mga mag expire ng sept 2011... and most of us here puro feb 2010 nag submit ng initial application sa CIO... i know we will have our time, sabay sabay din tayo... so heatspine, thanks for starting this thread talaga... tama sila, sira na siguro ang mga ulo natin kung di tayo nagkita kita dito and learned that we all share the same predicament...

pipoy, were you the one asking about the visa validity once in canada? the visa validity is for your INITIAL ENTRY to canada... so kahit on the last day ka mag land ng visa validity mo it's ok... basta make sure you land before your visa expires... once you're there, wala na sila paki sa visa mo dahil landed immigrant na ang tawag sayo non... naks!

suggestion, if willing lang naman kayo, let's create a group sa fb so we can share our experiences regarding our migration... it helps a lot to have a support system of people who are going through the same experience... saka para may instant acquaintances tayo doon... si heatspine na bahala at mag vote na lang tayo kung type nyo... i know some people value their anonymity as well and i respect that ;D

Hi canimmigrant... visa was issued last 03/08/2011 and i received it 03/18/2011... agree on fb proposal.. alam ko before meron na gumawa ng fb account dito... but anyway will surely join para sa may network...

@ heatspine, hi, I read your advice on ndpadin as he is out of the country like me. My agent abroad had sent a follow up email saying I'm out of the country and urgently need the passports returned to travel back to PH to be with my family. CEM answered back saying that they have received our passports and is in the queue for finalization but did not disclose any time frame concerning the return of passports w/ PR Visa. Do you think this would help to expedite the process? Thank you )
