Well, I am getting ready for my fifth trip over there. We married on my third trip...I went over for 7 weeks with my daughter (10 years old at the time) to get married. We have lots of pictures, lots of communication both over phone and Skype. There is 9 years between us.

There is one complication. This is not the first time I have been married to a foreigner, and have sponsored someone in the past. While my sponsorship agreement is long over, I worry that this might cause us some issues.

Another thing you can try is post your question about previous undertaking to Spousal Sponsorship Thread. Many seniors there to answer your question.
Good Luck

What exactly is the name of the thread? I tried to search "previous undertaking to Spousal Sponsorship" but nothing came up.

I believe as long as you don't have an undertaking( promise of support) in effect from previous sponsorship. Undertaking is in effect from 3 years applicant received PR.
Will be no problems there, only thing that might happen is interview if CIC still has questions.

I have noticed on the spreadsheet that the latest update is people approved on July 31st got their PPR. I'm Aug 08th so I'm hoping and praying that my wife and I are getting close. On April 16th is our 1st wedding anniversary which we will obviously have to spend apart. Lord willing, maybe, just maybe we'll get an anniversary gift.

Hi, Is Canada Student Grant considered social assistance or welfare?

It is social assistance
Welfare means you are not working because of disabilities, single mother because no body will take care of the baby

Thanks Step, hopefully both you and I will be hearing something soon. It will be nice to finally at least have the PPR, that way we'll know we've moved onto the next step.

How about if the government pay 100% of my tuition fee, am I not allowed to sponsor my wife? I want to continue studying but I just lost my job and the government said that they can pay my tuition fee 100% but at the same time, I want to sponsor my wife. We will get married this coming June 7 and I will proly submit her application around July. Start of classes is last week of August. If I submit my application July, will they know if I receive tuiton fee assistance on August?
