Yes you should get it all in manila and your bags will be checked through to Toronto. I have flown Cebu-HK-Tor.. and that is what happened. You get off the plane and find the gate you are departing at.

If you are pressed for time, sometimes there will be cathay employees waiting with signs (either with your name or destination) when you get off the plane to take you to your connecting flight. So don't worry.

Okay. Thanks man! Very helpfull! Gonna have to take pics of your replies in my iphone! Just in case i got really nervous in hong kong! Lol :D

No problem... Safe travels.. Just don't be afraid to ask the cathay people for help when you get off plane.

Yes,,,usually you get all your boarding passes at the first check-in,,,if you were going through Bejing or Shanghai I would be worried ,they are scary

Scary because you have to go through customs its like a dungeon area, with military lots of questions for everyone,,,,,,then when going back through security I almost got arrested for having bringing alchol into the airport,,,,the woman screening my bag ripped it apart when she seen the bottle on the xray and I was carted away to a high security area,,,,,,,,i was lucky I was only in transit

I see. Did they literally rip your bag? I thought you were refering to china-philippines misunderstandings w/ regards to ocean teritories :) Anyways I wont bring any alcohol or cigarettes or any other "not allowed" stuffs so that me and my little daughter will go smoothly in airports.. Thanks!

no but she opened it in a rush and threw all my other stuff to the tray until she got to the bottle,,this was my carry on bag,,,,i travel lite most of the times

hahaha .. it was like that since you didnt follow the rules .. only about 100ml of liquid is allowed on carry on bags .. hahahah if you had more .. it would come out suspicious on the xray and you'd be in trouble for not following instructions before you went in for the bag xrays

for them its like you are trying to smuggle something.. hahahha
