Thanks Scos... will get it too.
If you plan to drive in Canada you should get CAA. As a member you can also get discounted travel insurance for any cardholders. My trip to Japan for 12 days was around $35

I think an annual membership for CAA is around $100.

Food for thought:

(PAFSO Facebook Post) "If PAFSO can file a bad faith complaint against the government.
is it possible for all the applicants to file the same bad faith complaints against the CIC officials?"

Anyone with an international law background?

Note - no international law background here - but with that said. No, we can not file a Bad Faith complaint against CIC, as they are not our employer, and we are not locked into bargaining with them. That is not to say, that someone one with a creative background couldn't figure out a whole bucket full of angles to go at CIC/the Government with over this, weather or not they would be successful, well that is a different story. Then be prepared to be locked up in a drug out legal battle, that could literally last a couple of decades, with the various levels of appeals and such.

Hard to fight the guys, who own the justice system (government) when they own the game.

On ecas is says: "Application Received - Medical Results Received"

Does this mean that we have passed the medical step and wont have to do remeds?

No. It means that they have received your medical results and they are still current. If they do not process your visa before your meds expire they will request another medical.

The PSLRB will meet with PAFSO and GoC in 4 days (21st). Hopefully a means to an end will take place and they will get back to work!

+2 to that! I will be watching to see if the LRB comes out with a snap decision for this or not. It really shouldn't be hard for them to determine the Bad Faith complaint, but sometimes these things can take a few days, by the time they get started, and actually get pen to paper to issue their ruling. Given the possible economic impacts it may provide some fuel for the fire to get a decision quicker rather than later.

The only chitty, thing is the really humanitarian bit, which is these family visas and such, gets pushed to the back of the bus in so far as considerations are concerned in the overall big picture of the all mighty dollar. </rant>

I think the decision will have to come down before Parliament resumes. That way they can avoid the legislation from government. I would have to hand it to Edwards if this all goes PAFSO's way. He really picked his timing well.

Absolutely, if they set their timing by sheer luck, than I want a couple of those horse shoes they have hidden away some where.

for what i remember it cost me about 1500$ to take out 4 of them .. but of course insurance from work covers 50% of it .. but im in alberta .. also i would think probably this would be the highest cost since 3 of my wisdom grew sideways and are impacted 1 was good but the dentist decided to pull out 4 to be balanced

taking the wisdom tooth out here in canada is very different from how they do in back there in "manila" from my point of view .. here funny is they even isolate your tooth while working on it here
