As far as processing times, they should refer to what you were informed of. And for us, we were informed that it was 8 months (remember last year?). Like if I have a plumber make an estimate on a job, say a day and I accept and hire him, why to I care if tomorrow he gets swamped with orders. He told ME a day and that is MY "accepted time".

So I would tell that to your MPs rep. You were told 8 months when you started this process, it has been 8 months, so do something.
PROCESSING TIMES if you ask CEM is just them coordially telling you each period how long it took to do 80% of visas in the last 12 month period, not how long it will take yours

I was thinking what if they did a remed but one person had contracted some kind of awful STD that they didn't have in their first med. Would they change their mind :-X

Their data is based on the past year.. how badly are they F00king up if 80% of applications are processed in 14 months after sponsor approval? Because most people except for you Tagum have been quicker than that.

We'll still pay the Php1620 (if not included in the ticket yet), technically when we leave the country, we aren't PR of Canada yet.

Yes,,,, but that gives them lots of leway for contangious emails, that they do not have to reply to. NO need for MP to step in and ask questions

I also kept pointing out that there was already an unnecessary delay in stage 1 that was CICs fault and also that I was talking with people who had applications that hit the VO AFTER mine get visas while I was just waiting for a simple request for re-med. They tried the "oh, well they will try to extend it, so that is why you haven't heard yet" bit. But I told them the meds were long past the 3 month eligibility window for that. So why hadn't I been asked for a re-med when people who's apps hit Manila a month after mine were in process and getting visas? Obviously they are not being opened in sequence. They didn't have a good answer for that.

So I did get them to do something. Unfortunately what they did was pretty lame anyway. I will be going back to prod them again June 1st (since the office is just down the road).
This was my point exactly. The processing times are meaningless if they are able to process applications submitted after mine before me. Their errors are not my problem. Their backlog is not my problem. How do they justify an application submitted in December being processed complete by April? You have at least 1000 applications well before it.
My GCMS notes revealed no other missing documents prior to the ones they lost transferring from Mississauga to Ottawa. They revealed no red flags or other queries of concern. So why the hold up? They had my application sitting unopened for 6 months until I complained about it. Then they requested a full remed for the missus.....why? I wasn't the one that left it untouched for 6 months. They are extorting more money from me than other applications they decide they will process promptly.
All this additional running about that allows them to waste more time on needless delays. Either pass it or deny it but do it expediently.
six months is all they need. If they can't complete an application within that time then they need to hire more IO's and stop closing VO's. What is the government's priority? People? Profit? Bragging rights to make the claim they reduced the size of the Public Service.

It says this:

Filipino permanent residents abroad whose stay in the Philippines is less than one (1) year.
1. Copies of the ID pages of passport and stamp of last arrival in RP
2. Proof of permanent residence in foreign country (e.g. US Green Card, Canadian form 1000, etc.)

Maybe Doljan can chime in and say if he paid it?

They didn't have the travel tax those many years ago. I think it's relatively new.

Maybe it's included in your tickets already. If you bought the tickets thru agencies here, travel tax is included already. if you booked it online, or if you bought it from agencies abroad, then you'll still pay.

I heard that sometimes, even if it's included in your ticket, they can try and make you pay still. :D

when my husband left 2009, he paid the 1620. he went back last year, we went to macau, they asked for his PR card, and they only asked 200 from him.
