But anybody can use a computer program to fake a call display phone number. How is it that the call display number is not the person who actually called? And when the phone rings nobody can hear him and he's like an interloper on another conversation? And all the calls are daytime Philippines but middle of the night in Canada?
And the call in Chinese?

Right. As far as I know digital signals can't get crossed so it would have to be an analog signal that was improperly switched through a tower.

It's one of those MyPhones with the Analog antenna that gets TV. It didn't work in Canada, only on Fido because it was an old type signal.

Ok so it is an analog phone. It won't work here because everything has gone to digital. Mystery solved.

Yeah, I got him a used iphone but it was carrier locked to Rogers :-X it will be useful very soon :

That will be another expense for the wife and I. A phone package for the both of us. She has a Nokia and I have a Blackberry so who knows what we'll end up with.

I'm thinking of adding him to my Rogers plan.. after all his phone is locked to it anyways. I think there's deals for couples plans?

Ya. I think there are. I'm not a fan of Rogers. Too many billing problems when I lived in Toronto. MTS here is pretty good. I bundle all my stuff together. Maybe we will get iPhones.

Every time I call them and complain they take a bunch off my bill.. even if it was my fault that I didn't know calling CIC's 1800 number counted towards my minutes :-[

You can also look at fongo (www.fongo.com) Or I think it is called dell voice now. I picked up a number and can call using wifi. No phone bill. I am thinking of this for a secondary phone or number. My place has wifi, my work has wifi... And I like people not calling me at any time.

For those that are wondering new iPhone 5s rumoured to come out in June .. Seems to be same phone, different o/s maybe newer processor. IPhone 6 rumored in the fall.
