justquestions said:Hi! Not sure if anyone will actually respond to this thread but wanted to give it a shot.
I noticed that most applications for spouses of Filipinos, whether PR holders or naturalized Canadians, seem to be processed much faster than those of us whose spouses are non-Filipinos (Canadian by Birth).
I've been curious for some time now what the timelines are like for other spouses of Non-Filipinos are, like me. Hope you could share yours as well, so we can see if there's a trend going on here.
Thank you!
Here's my timeline:
App filed: February 23, 2015
AOR: May 5, 2015
SA: June 1, 2015
PPR: July 14, 2015
My application intervals are unbelievably long.
App filed to AOR: 71 days
App filed to SA: 98 days
AOR to SA: 27 days
SA to PPR: 43 days
My spouse and I have been together for 5 years now, and we lived together overseas for 2 years, so I am pretty sure there's nothing questionable about the "genuineness" of our relationship. I'm happy for those who got their approvals quickly, but at the same time it's a bit frustrating to be so behind especially when most people who filed their apps much later are now much further ahead in the application process than us.

justquestions said:At the time we applied the posted processing time for step 1 was 55 days. And 98 days to complete step 1 is nothing to get all bent out of shape over?
You may be a champion member but you still need to think before you comment. Easy for you to take things easy, you're app has been all done and you've probably been reunited with your spouse for years now
truesmile said:Straight forward applications have been processed out of Manila in 8-9 month mark even quite recently, that's how i "know" so! Until yours actually exceeds a year how do YOU know??
You're already complaining only 5 months in?!? Hmmph!
Well look at that. Shyder29 there will be done in 10 months. What year is it?? Good golly its 2015!!
