Hello,
Are you now in Canada? How long you been together with your partner? At least 1 year you been together before it will be considered as common law.

Thank you

Hi,

So sorry for the really late reply. My TRV was approved and here's what I did:
1. I selected Common-Law to validate my application form
2. Wrote "/Conjugal" on the printed application form
3. Submitted a "statutory declaration of common-law union"

My partner and I are in a long distance relationship for more than 5 years now.
We visited each other very often (almost every 3 months) before she moved to Canada (recently landed).

Thanks!

Hows your new life their in Canada?? :) :) Buti ka pa settled na.. Kami waiting pa din.. nasa last step na kami ng application..we already received the acknowledgment letter from CPC-M for the RPRF payment last July 19.. Pero worried pa rin kami since ... common-law yung application namin unlike sa spousal. Baka hingan pa kami ng interview..

Last July 21, nag punta kami sa CEM to ask for status ng application since mag expired na Canadian passport ng partner ko this September. Our plan is to leave for Canada together assuming the Visa will be released earlier before September.. Kaso ongoing review pa daw ng Visa Section.. :'( :'( :'(

Naiisip tuloy namin kaya natatagalan is they are reviewing thoroughly our application since common-law kami and not spousal.. Worried pa namin is baka ma-denied since walang work ang hubby ko pag dating sa Canada although we stated in our application our plan how to support our selves pag dumating na kami doon. We also mentioned na may funds kaming dadalhin sa Canada to support us while hubby is looking for a job..

Feeling ko lang.. habang tumatagal yung waiting time... kung anu-ano pumapasok sa isipan na negative thoughts pero we brush it off and keep on thinking positive outcome sa application namin.. :) :)

one question p po.. kung kukunin ng partner ko ung mother nia.. pede pb nia ako mkuha?

They prioritize sponsorsip of spouse/partners. Parents Sponsorship is different and takes longer processing than spouse/partner sponsorship. So puwedeng puwede kang i sponsor ng partner mo kung i sponsor nya ang kanyang mother.. Goodluck!

misss ko na mga beckymon sa pinas

kamusta sa lahat???? whats new??? ako eto parang KURATIA sa work grabe daming work d2.. suko ako hahahha....

Hi! I just want to follow this topic. We're applying very soon as conjugal, although we're different sex but I hope we should all be processed the same. Just curious when you guys write "Addinfo -Red-Passport" what does that mean? Does that mean you sent your passport or is there some kind of special passport requirement that we are missing out on? Thanks and best of luck to everyone!

Ok I just read more of the thread, sorry :o Do you guys know when the Red passport started? My guy was an OFW and got a new passport in late 2009. Thanks!

I looked it up in Wikipedia and it wasn't very helpful: :o :o :o

Official (red)
An official passport is issued to members of the Philippine government for use on official business, as well as employees of Philippine diplomatic posts abroad who are not members of the diplomatic service. It is the second of two passports issued to the President and the Presidential family. As such, this passport does not extend the privilege of diplomatic immunity. Government officials are prohibited from using official passports for non-official business, and as such also have regular passports. This passport has a red cover.

Hi again.. sorry I'm kind of freaking out about this passport thing! You guys mean the maroon coloured one?
