Hi Canadalover4987, the email was about cohabitation, they were asking my partner for an explanation. As a sponsor I can't be with him in the Philippines for 12 consecutive months to be categorized under common law partnership because technically he's still married and might be charged of bigamy. Under conjugal partnership, you have to prove why you can't be married or be in common law relationship. The TRV wasn't before the application but during the process. His application for TRV was his explanation of the above concern, granted entry to Canada means he can have the opportunity to be with me for 12 consecutive months but his refusal served as an impediment.

Your case is very interesting. I hope the best outcome and will get visa for your partner.

Hello guys,

My partner received an email from CEM stating that she needs to submit her passport for her COPR. I guess this we call this "PPR?"

The problem is we will have a tour which is very important for us because all is paid. I need to discussed this further with my partner.

I keep this thread posted.

Hi guys,

Thanks for all of you. We will personally submit her passport in VAC makati and hoping that we will receive her passport back very soon with visa! I will update you here.

We will have a month tour outside the Philippines starting the first week of March. I was wondering if we can submit her passport after the tour but it clearly states on the CEM email that we need to comply within 30 days, and we need to submit her passport.

It took us 10 months now.

Also, when did your partner have the medical exam?

she had her upfront medical april last year, it was submitted along with her application.

Even I my self cant believe that its so quick. But i re-read it over and over again. It says to the email that "the processing of your application for PR is almost complete, You must complete the ff within 30 days in order for our office to issue your Confirmation of Permanent Resindence"

I am really happy for both of you. May I ask you something, did your eCAS or MyCIC change its status to DM, or In Progress? I am just dreaming here, my eCAs says, In Process and MyCIC says, Not started for background check. Just thinking the possibility and making myself excited... haha! PPR for us soon... God bless us all... :D :D :D

Thank you so much. We are very happy with the outcome.

Earlier this evening while having dinner, my partner got an email from CEM and my partner says that she thinks CEM is asking her to submit her passport, i was skeptical so i read the email myself, And im happy and shocked, CEM are asking for her passport, 2 photos and a copy of the email to be submitted in VAC.

My CIC doesnt say anything because my partner and I failed to link our application. We have no idea what going on. Thats why I requested for GCMS notes which i think will be ready in a month. Our ECAS both says "In progress" still. And they also send information regarding pre arrival services that she can attend in person or online.

Tomorrow we will submit the passport, we are hoping her passport will be returned back asap so we can go to a tour next month. I will update this post.
