In the Express Entry (Federal Skilled Worker) Application, is it mandatory to provide a proof of relationship with any relatives who are already on Canadian PR?

I have an uncle who is a permanent resident of Canada but I doubt if he will be willing to share any of his PR documentation that I need to submit as part of my application if I declare him as the relative.

Would it be illegal if I do not specify him as my relative on my application? Or is it just an optional thing if you want to strengthen your application?

Thanks!

We have few relatives that we could have earn points for, but we were not asked to submit any documents, due to a system glitch.

MrTee, did you declare them in any of the application forms?

Anyone else has experience with such a situation?

You need to declare any relative living in Canada. Withholding of information is an offence.
