Hi everyone.
So I'm feeling very paranoid about applying for this visa and my anxiety levels are through the roof. I'm going to Canada in April to visit a friend. I've never been there, and I've never applied for a visa, so I stupidly decided to buy return tickets for a week...
Now comes the documentation I'm submitting. I've been studying in Singapore for a year now, and I've got all the documentation (certificates with good results, school fees receipt...etc) The other documents would be :
1. Three months bank statement with >CAD1000 with bank account details (stating address etc)
2. Birth certificate and Malaysian ID and driving license
3. Singapore Student Visa/Pass and documentation
4. Offer letter for current program with details
5. Letter from university stating I am a student there and for how long
6. Student Contract wih specific course details and timetable
7. Past Foundation and Diploma certificates
8. School fee receipt for current degree program
9. Invitation letter from my friend in Canada, stating I will be staying with him and his parents and their details
10. His birth certificate and ID
11. His pay slips
12. My confirmed return air tickets
13. Itinerary to visit Banff National Park to as it is the 150th anniversary of the Canadian Confederation, entry is free, visiting mutual friends, riding horses and just hanging out in general lol
My family is supporting my studies here (fees, living expenses, rent etc) but I saved up my own earnings to fund this trip. Now, is my bank balance enough? I am considering asking my mother to let me have a copy of her bank statement to show she is supporting me and has the necessary funds in case of an emergency etc. Also I have a FD in Malaysia that is worth about CAD14900, is it worth including a copy of that?
Am I missing something here to prove my case? I'm so worried about being rejected and I've been putting so much hope on this. Advice would be good on how the VO will view my case.
Thanks!
