Well guys I have made online epayment with cic but something worries me and I'm confused if I really need to worry about that

First when I was generating my GCKey it did not ask me for my passport or date of birth.

Then I used this GCKey user ID and login details to make online payment using my visa credit card

It again did not ask me for my passport or DoB or anyother details

Well the official receipt has barcode, Transaction Reference, Visa Card No., Expiry Date, Cardholder Name (which is my name) and few other fields but nothing was asked on Passport or DoB or my ID details

Please note, this is the first time I am making an online payment and I have not forwarded my Permanent Residence Application yet, that I plan to forward by enclosing this receipt with my application.

How will CIC link my receipt to my application? Means if you just take that page out and put it somewhere else then will it belong to other account?

Thanks

The cardholder name and details are not important, it is the payment reference number which CIC will associate with your account. In fact, the fee can be paid by a credit card (for example) that does not belong to the applicant.

Exactly. That is my point.

My receipt has no information on me. So how do I associate my payment to my application. My application is Quebec Skilled Worker Class so it will be paper based. Is there any column of field where I will have to mention my receipt reference number in my application. My Receipt contains these fields only.

You just include the receipt that you received upon completion of the payment as part of your application file / documents.

when I'm filling up the payment form in acrobat, it does not allow me to type "08" in the "month" section of the credit card's expiry date.
Once i typed "08" then I clicked anywhere in the page or use tab, it defaults to "8" only. the number 8 stays in the first box. leaving the second box in the "month" portion blank.

although there is no other month that has "8", it just bothers me that the officer who will charge to the credit card will not use "08" when they manually charge to my credit card...any thoughts?
