Making Facebook page public:will this help in prove relationship authenticity?

Hi everyone!!!

So hubby got approved as a sponsor on valentines day. We are sharing the same facebook account even though we are in 2 different countries. his friends and relatives post stuff on there for both of us, as well as my family and friends. Our account is private.I was just wondering, will the VO look into FB to look for us? we didn't state it in our app that we share the same account nor mention that we have a facebook page. But will it help if we make our fb public? will they go that far?

I don't know for sure, but I don't think VO will even think about opening Social networking sites such as facebook just to check if the relationship is genuine.
I believe the reason why we should send all types of relationship proofs together with our application is because their decision on how genuine the relationship is, will be based on the proofs that we send them.
For sure different Visa Officers view our proofs differently, but again, I don't think they will check our facebook accounts.

PS: DO NOT make your facebook account public, especially if you are not comfortable that anyone can see your personal info and posts. I'm pretty sure CIC would want to keep your privacy in every way possible.

We included screenshots from our accounts showing our status (engaged, then married to each other), and of our friends and family's comments and congratulations when we got married. But we left our security settings alone, as far as I know Iay is right, they won't bother going to look at the page itself.

No - they will only look at printed proof. Do as others have suggested.
