Major NOC confusion

Ok so my wife works for this company that broadcasts/airs real casino games to Asia/Europe. In other words it is an online casino with real dealers dealing cards in front of live cameras. It is perfectly legal, and it is a very big company in Toronto that has been audited and certified many times. I said that to kill the posts like "casinos are illegal in ontario". Technically it is not a casino but here comes the interesting part:

She is a shift supervisor in this company, she supervises 24 dealers and IT staff and her duties are VERY CLOSE to 6313 - dealers supervisor, casino

The only question that is killing me is can there be any possible problems over the fact that this is an online casino not a real one, they do not deal with money etc.

She gets paid by the Canadian employer and she has all the T4's and stuff like that.

Also her official position title is "Supervisor". Do they pay attention to the titles? She could probably ask the owner to change her title for the purposes of CEC application, but even slight changes like this make me uncomfortable, since I don't want her to get refused due to "misrepresentation".

Also in case of refusal can she apply for a study permit afterwards? What are the chances of her getting it in case of CEC refusal?

Thank you very much!

Unfortunately I can't answer your NOC question.

As for the study permit, your wife may have difficulty being approved. To be approved for a study permit, you must demonstrate that you have strong ties to your home country and have no plans for remaining in Canada long term. Given she is already working in Canada and has tried to apply for CEC, it may be difficult to convince CIC officials that she is a genuine student - rather than someone who wants to use further studies in Canada as a means of immigrating.

2scylla: thank you for your opinion. My wife is in her 10th month of work now, she has not applied yet. The reason I am trying to clarify is to figure out if her application would be more or less successful.

I am a 2nd year student and I will be applying for the post gr work permit and our original plan was while I work 12 months towards our CEC application she goes to college(hopefully she will get her study permit) and studies for something that is under NOC as well in case my application under CEC is not successful.

But little did we know she would land such a job in Toronto that to me seems to be under NOC requirements. And now we have a dilemma: do we stick to our original plan? Or are we stupid not to try to apply through her?

What do you think?

Folks, if you don't know the answer to my NOC question, could you please tell me whom to ask or smth? I am really confused!
