I need to pay my GIC to Scotia Bank asap, but my address on Passport is my old one and in my bank has the new one. Due to this mismatch, my GIC payment will get rejected.
Changing my address in the bank to the old one is impossible and renewing Passport in such COVID situation will take a lot of time as I'm already a bit late in paying GIC, I need a quick workaround to this problem.
Any help/suggestion is appreciated.

Hey, were you able to open gic account with address mismatch. I have a similar issue. Can you please confirm. And if possible, let me know how to inform CIBC team

Guys,

I faced this issue. Slight name change in my passport and bank. I opened a new account with exact passport details and my GIC for Scotia got through.
