Maitaing PR accompaying canadian citizen spouse

Hi every body,

I ,my wife got canada PR in 2010 but i lived in canada only 01 year and i leave canada in july 2014 last time, but my wife lived in canada continously and got canadian citizen in month of july 2015.Now my wife is going to join / live with me ( outside canada in my home country) in feb. 2016.My question is regarding PRTD ( travel document for PR) to re-enter canada if we live at same address continously for 02 years( till march 2018) and then apply for PRTD .Tell me there will be any problem in the issue of PRTD to me or not?.What types of documents required to attach with application when i will apply for PRTD. suggest any other kind of advance preparation from now which will help at the time of application .is my wife can work in my home country?.

If your wife lives with you for 2 years straight outside Canada, you actually meet the RO again and could apply for a travel document and should get it.

However, it is possible that they start going into who was accompanying whom as you were already living outside Canada for some time before your wife joined you. In some cases they have done this even though they at some point said that they wouldn't. In case that happens and they deny the TD and you lose your PR, your wife can however sponsor you again.
