Maitained status time frame extension?

Hello, I have a question. I am currently waiting for a response from an LMIA to my employer. The letter sent to me after my application to the work permit justifying that I am waiting for the response of that LMIA (which is the maintained/implied status), gives me until March (if I do not receive a response before) to continue working in the same conditions as I was. My question is, if that date arrives and I have not received an answer, should I stop working? Or is there a way to extend that limit?

You should expect they will make a decision in your application before that date is reached.

Yeah, I am expecting that but reality is telling me that people are waiting more, so my question is what would happen if they don't respond before that date
