Maintaining PR while working in USA for a Canadian company

My PR expires Dec 2011. I sent renewal application to CIC in Canada Oct 2011. I never lived in Canada due to employment with a Canadian comany in USA (US GC pending, currently on EAD/AP). The company could not transfer me due to current company needs. I have sent all pertinent documents to show my employment verifications with the Canadian company. My questions are:

1) Will they accept my application since I mailed it from USA (the courier said it reached the destination)?

2) Will they correspond with me by mail at my US address or the Canadian address I stated in the application ( I used a friends address in Canada)?

3) If an interview is requested, will they let me interview in US since I may not be able to travel to Canada after Dec 2011?

4) Anyone with similar circumstances care to share their experience?

1. No, you have to be resident in Canada to apply for a PR card.

4. Unless you were hired by the company in Canada and then transferred to the US, you are going to be disappointed about keeping your PR status.

It's worth trying anyways. Plus, when I inquird with CIC by email all they stated was the condition of being employed by Canadian company. They did no state anything about where and how I should be hired! So, I decided to try anyway and hope for the best.

I have received a job offer that requires frequent overseas travel.
Can anyone plz advice me - Will the time spent overseas (during work related travels) be counted towards maintaining PR and eventually towards Citizenship?

Your time will count towards PR, not towards citizenship.
