mailing address updated to an unknown address (not by me)

Hello folks,

I experienced something very strange this morning just wondering if anyone has seen this before?

My citizenship application was submitted last December and now it's in process.

This morning however, when I checked my status again, the mailing address shows a strange address in Chicago I've never heard of (I'm in Toronto), and CIC just sent a mail a few days ago (I didn't get it)

I panicked and submitted a form to correct my address also de-authorized all online status access in case it happens again. I intend to give cic a call tomorrow see if they know what's going on.

Still trying to figure out how this could have happened.

It may have been and error on their part, but now that you have disabled all access, you won't know when/if they've fixed it. You've also disabled your own access. You'll have to wait for emails and/or regular snail mail.

Thanks! Yeah I hope it's just a system glitch not something else. (but if it's a glitch I would expect it's not just me).

Also it just frightens me that important mails (with lots of personal info) like this just get sent to a random place.

I already requested a change and will get on the phone tmr with them to learn more.
