Mailing Address on Study Permit Extension Application

Hello. I am a student currently studying in Canada but I intend to go back to my home country during summer break and travel back to Canada in fall.

I understand I have to extend my study permit to be able to continue my studies in Fall, and I was wondering if I could have my study permit extension letter mailed to my home country’s address? I will be applying from Canada though.

Does anybody know if IRCC will only mail their documents to a Canadian address or will they be able to send documents outside of Canada via mail? I am quite worried about the time I have to get my study permit extension in time and the application processing time is quite long currently, so I was hoping to apply earlier to avoid any delays.

Hi tapperb, I do plan to submit my application online, but I don’t know if I could fill my home country’s address on the application form as the mailing address for IRCC to send my study permit.
