Hi,

I am currently staying in Canada & will be shifting back to India in a month or so.

Suggestion needed - should I provide mailing address from India where I'll be throughout process, & residential address from Canada where I am currently staying? I'm also providing email address, so hoping that most communication will still be through emails.

I'll get residential address changed later once I reach India.

If you are moving to India, and you are sure that you won't be returning until your application is finalized, then choose India as both.

I may return back after few months, no plan as yet though. Address will be different.

In that case, if you know what your address is going to be, then provide that. Just make sure that whatever address you give, somebody is available to act on your behalf. If you provided your email address, all communication is via email. Only time address comes into play is when they sent your your PR card or application is returned.

I too am kind of in same situation but I am going to India for 2 months and have returned journey planned.

I was told by CIC customer service to email them explaining I wont have canadian residential address
for above period but would subsequently get one upon return.

Also in the interim I shared my friend address as mailing address.

OK. So that means providing Indian address is acceptable? Someone will be available at that address. I'm worried in case application is returned for some reason, Certified check will also be returned along with it & I will not have any mean to collect it personally.

Experts - any suggestions please. This is last doubt I have before sending my application.
