Dear Friends,

This is such a wonderful forum to exchange information, and some of the people are really so good and helpful here!! I wanna thank the admin for hostin and all the contributors for such a great forum!!

I have a question to the forum members, my PR application has been approved and i plan to land in Toronto some time in the first half of November 2011, i realised from the CIC web pages that, it takes almost 8 working weeks to receive my PR card, and unfortunately due to my prior commitments at my hospital, i can't stay 8 weeks after i land and i have to return to Europe. My attorney told me that, she can collect the PR card on my behalf (through mail) and will mail it to my european address. Now my question is, is it ok to mail PR card to another country? has anyone of you had such experiences?

I will be very thankful to the replies.

Best Regards

If you are asking whether it is a good idea to trust the mails, I'd suggest using a courier. The risk of loss is lower.

It may be an issue for citizenship. Because you are giving your attorney address and not actually living in canada.

Pretending to be present in Canada to meet the residence requirements for obtaining citizenship.
