Mailed Application stuck at customs office

Hey everybody I have an important question and I hope there is no need to be concerned. I sent my application on November 27th from Germany and since December 1st my application got stuck at customs office. I have no idea why because it is just a letter. Did some of you have the same experience? Or is this unusual? I mean I tracked the letter on the German post website and I was also able to track it on the Canada Post website. But I am a little worried because of the customs office, what are they doing with my application? Do I have to be concerned that my application won't reach the CIC? I mean I don't know if they will just open the letter and take everything out. What if they lose some documents? :'(

Oh no I think I did express myself wrong. My application is held by the Canadian customs office, not the German. That's what got me thinking. Because the Canadian customs office should know what's in my letter because it's send to the CIC. So for what reason would customs office hold my application?
And it seems like nobody has ever experienced the same thing.

my post sent on the 15th reaching canadian custom in 2 days... but CIC only received on the 29th...

guess the possibility is one of the random checks that they hold your post for 2 weeks...

can't really speak for your case but keep checking canadapost for updates...

Okay, good to know that I'm not the only one experiencing such a big delay. But still I'm wondering why customs service would hold on to letters that are sent to CIC. I mean they can definitely tell that it's for the Skilled Worker Program.
