Made an honest error in my application

Hi All!

I submitted my application online a few weeks ago and was going through my documentation when I noticed I've made a mistake.

In the question "In the past 4 years, were you in a country or territory other than Canada for 183 days or more in a row (since the age of 18)?" I have answered "No" when the actual answer is "Yes". I was living in Sri Lanka before I immigrated here.

The guidance states if the answer is Yes and I have not provided a police report prior to immigrating, I would have to submit a police report. However, had already provided the police report with my PR application all those years ago.

How bad does this look? Is there any way I can go about rectifying this?

You provided a PCC for this stay for your PR application, and haven't gone there for 6 months or more after landing?

You are good in terms of not providing a PCC, but you need to declare your stay in the application, and in the explanation write why you are not providing a PCC for this stay.

Unfortunately, I've already submitted the application. Would I be able to update info or provide additional details online after I get my AOR?

The dates of my stay in Sri Lanka has all been included (in addresses during the past 5 years)

I received my AOR and previously sent a webform with the correction prior to my AOR. Would it be best to send another as I have my application number now?

I think so. If you have the case number included in AOR, send another webform with correct information including your case number. Without a case number, they can do nothing about your corrected and update information, because they can’t even find your file. Now that you have the case number, send another webform.
