Hello All,

I have applied for PR & I just realized that I have mentioned wrong date of birth for my mother.

I have already done the medical and waiting for next step.

Should I write visa office now or after completion of process, If I update it now how badly it would effect my case (in form of delay)?

Can I update the same after landing?

My mother is 68 yrs. old and does not has date of birth certificate, when I checked at time of filing, she was not sure about date of birth, but mentioned me what she thought is correct and I mentioned the same in application (it is not uncommon, earlier in India, people use to remember birthday with native months date or 5 days from such and such festival).

Later she found a PAN card (national id card in India), in which her date of birth is different. And she has applied for passport and submitted that PAN card for DOB, which means her passport will have that DOB.

I wish to correct the DOB in my application to avoid any future issue, kindly advice me.

I do not think this could be an issue at all but being on safe side, send a clarification letter along with relevant documents to CHC at earliest.

Hello to all....

I have applied from Sweden under FSW1 3112 (General Practitioner) but the category was filled within 1 week of the submission of application. Is there any means to confirm that my application was among the completed applications that were included in the category. If accepted then in how much time would i get response from them.

Thanks.

Waiting for ur reply.

I am planing to send explanation letter to VO and also thinking to submit two documents as proof of the correct DOB for my mother. I have already asked my parents to send me those documents, and hopefully will get it in a week & then will submit my letter.

why - I am submitting those docs? Just to prove that this time I am correct.

But will there be any negative impact of such change?
Will reporting of this mistake lead to more time for security check or request for passport?
Any advice?

No, not at all any negative impact.
thats your right to change and provide correct information. but yes if something wrong with passport information of PA than it will delay in process , but this correction just inform VO is ok. my passport expiered and sent new copy when I renewed it, if I dont send it and wait for VO ask me about new passport copy than it will delay my process. so better update it and do not slow process by our end.
