Hi Guys,

Need your assistance in figuring out a solution for the below.
I renewed my indian passport In toronto days before I created my Express entry profile hence I entered the country of issue of passport as Toronto since it was mentioned the same in my new passport.

Now that I received my ITA and later came to know that the country of issue to be mentioned is India even though it was reissued in Toronto. What should I be doing in this case ?
Can I edit the info still in the profile after ITA ?
Should I decline my invitation and re enter the pool after editing?
Any other suggestions would be highly appreciated .

I have not yet submitted the application after the ITA

TIA.

You can edit that information after ITA.

Thank you .... would that be ok to edit the information since I already received an ITA ? I mean will that be an issue when information is being compared by the case manager post the submission.
It's ok to edit the information if you previously made a mistake. Post ITA, I moved my husband's work experience from his Work History section into his Personal History section (we claimed no points for it and therefore did not want the hassle of him having to obtain proof of employment). I attached a brief LoE to explain this, so you can do the same if you really want to. But I somehow doubt that IRCC compares every application form to the previously submitted profile to that level of detail. They just want to see if your CRS score is indeed the one you claimed in your profile.

Anyway, in your case it's pretty obvious that you made a mistake, so it's much better to correct it.

Pre-ITA profile is just an entry ticket and not an actual application. If there is mismatch in actual application compared to EE profile, the only thing IRCC is concerned about is whether your new points are greater than or equal to cut-off for the draw.

I also made the same mistake. So In this case i can update the detail in PR application and need to attach Letter of explanation for that? or just update the country?
