Hello Everyone,

I have started the journey a few months back and done with my educational assessment. Currently I am in the middle of IELTS preparation and learning about the express entry in detail, I realized that I have huge problem ahead.

I was diagnosed with Tuberculosis in Lymph Node 9 years back and I had undergone the complete course of medication for 7 months. After the medication, I never had symptoms of TB again till date.

Recently I was down with viral fever since I had a cough of more than 7 days my physician ran TB tests on me to rule out the possibility of TB relapse. There were no tb germs found.

Now I am afraid that what will happen to me in medical tests and will my dream of being a Canadian will end?
I am thinking of not hiding this detail from IRCC as it will not help me in the longer run.

Senior forum members please help me in what will be the right way to go forward.

You should not and you CAN NOT hide from IRCC as your X Ray will tell all. So don’t ever think of hiding anything. Be honest.

If you are not having any symptoms at present, then you don’t need to worry. If they find your X Ray suspicious, they will ask for further tests but ultimately you will pass the medical examination. So don’t worry and go ahead.
And good luck for your IELTS.

Thank you. As my diagnosis was 9 years back, I don't possess any medical documents regarding the treatment that was conducted, I just remember the whole treatment lasted around 7months. What should I do in this case? I have heard that the panel physician asks for previous medical records, can I consult a new pulmonologist and get all the tests done again to rule out TB? Please advice.

Don’t worry. They will advise you everything- what tests and when. You just need to follow their instructions.

Also even if you were having your previous test reports, they would have still insisted on new tests as they rely on tests provided by the designated Panel Physicians only. So don’t worry. Finally you will pass your medical examination.

Good luck.

Hello, I am in similar situation.

Did you pass your medical? Did you declare your medical history?
