Hi friends,

After a considerable absence from the forum, just wanted to share with you that by the grace of Almighty Allah, we made our landing in Toronto last week. Everything went very smooth & easy.

My Ecas status has now been changed to 'Completed'

Interestingly my address has not yet changed & still shows the UAE address of my consultant.

Wish all of you the very best - may your process complete very soon & you can have a happy & prosperous life in your new land of hopes & dreams.

Happy and prosperous life in Canada. Have u landed permanantly or you plan to come back UAE after the first landing?

Our visa expiry is in first week May 2012. However, we plan to land in first week of April. Is it advisable or should I land now. We are planning to land there permanantly.

Hi all,

anyone knows about Single journey travel document,a friend of mine from same nationality got a reply from LVO after he sent his ppt that they cant issue a visa on his passport as canada dont recognise any passports issued by our country,hence they offered him a SINGLE JOURNEY TRAVEL DOCUMENTS,where its valid for only a single time only and on a specified date and a specified flight as well,accordingly they asked him to pick a date and make a confirm ticket booking and give those details to LVO ASAP so they can stamp the visa on this SJTD .......

I am expecting to face same issue since i am of the same nationality of my friend and just sent my ppt last week,

anyone knows about this SJTD or can share a similar experience?......what if i cant make it to travel on same day....will they issue another SJTD.

Thanks Anpudan. As May isn't very far, I believe u should all travel together in first week of April. However, u r the best judge. What r ur plans after landing? I remember reading earlier that u r a doctor. If u like, plz send me details of ur intended course of action after landing thru a PM & we can share some notes.
