I am in Toronto. :)

We are living in Mississauga.

Husband has job in his field but in a much lower position. Entry level. His first job was a factory worker which was 11 hours. He used to come back at 3:00 a.m. Thank God he has a day job now.

We are still struggling but hopefully we will settle soon. Hope you are doing well.

Cheers,

TA

Good Morning ;)

My Dear friends and fellow members,

Good day to all of you. Hope all of you are doing well in your lives, application and settlements in Canada. My journey of Landing and living for one month in Canada was very smooth Alhamdulillah. I landed on 1st May, 2015. Stayed for one month with brother and came back to Riyadh Saudi Arabia in June. I will tell details later. Now my only concern is what should I do next. Me and my wife are very double minded about moving to Canada as we are planning to move in January to Calgary. But until now we don't have any jobs. so sometimes I think I shall set my family there and try to continue Saudi Job and search for Jobs in Canada. I want to move as soon as possible because of daily changing rules and because of Kids future. Need your suggestions guys. I'll keep on posting the details as soon as I get time.

Regards.
Fazal.

Hi guys, I've been in Canada for nearly 3 years now. If anyone needs to ask any questions, I'll try to answer to the best of my knowledge. I benefitted a lot from this thread and would like to give something in return

What are the job opportunities for Purchasing Managers in Canada. Whether we have to start from zero means as a Purchasing Supervisor or Purchasing Clerk or there is a possiblity to get hired as Purchasing Manager after arrival if I do the certification of SCMP (Supply Chaim Management Professional) from SCMA(http://www.scmanational.ca/index.php) Canada.. I have around more then 15-years of experience in Purchasing and Supply Chain Management in Qatar, Dubai and Bahrain. Is it right that there is no value of foreign experience in Canada? And you have to start from scratch. And someone advised that certification might let you land in easily in your profession? What is your advise?

For any kind of job you have to start from the beginning. The previous experience doesn't really count, unless you are exceptionally lucky.
