Someone who has landed in canada and got cell phone connection done please guide me how you did it coz I went today to get fido connection done on my own cell phone but was refused by my bank as I don't have any credit history. Same problem while trying to rent an apartment. Any help will be appreciated.

Hi! What does PPR1 nd PPR2 stand for! I did my Medicals on 18 th June 2014, paid my PPRF on 19th. Now when can I expect what!

Hello everyone.
I landed in Canada on 13th/june/2014.Took direct flight from Islamabad to pearson airport,Toronto. Flight was okay,but there were only two servings for a 14 hour long flight.(Breakfast and tea)
Landing was pretty straight forward.Please do fill up b4 and b4a forms and declare if you are carrying more than 10000$.I had all my papers /forms filled and it did save me from a lot of hassle of opening up my baggage.
They issue the SIN at the airport after some basic questions.Like whats your name,your spouse's name, your mother's name and all.
I opened bank account with TD Canada trust,the woman over there was slow and took almost 2 hours to do it..lol
I am staying with my family in Burlington but this place is damn expensive and one can't succeeds without a car.So I will be leaving this place and moving to Hamilton(Which I didn't like but the transit system is much better) I really wanna know how immigrants in Toronto manage the mortage,rent,as I heard its very very expensive there.
Went to health services office to register but I have no proof of residence so far so they didn't register me till I have some sort rent or mortgage deed.Its okay coz health card takes 3 months from the date you land but it should get enrolled 15 days before you complete 3 months.

Hi! What does PPR1 nd PPR2 stand for! I did my Medicals on 18 th June 2014, paid my PPRF on 19th. Now when can I expect what!

PPR = Passport Request
PPR 1 & 2 is for pakistani applicants only where you have to send scans to VO in the first place and then original passports to Canadian embassy in Pakistan.

I have appeared for medical examination with my family almost 10 days back and was really worried for not seeing the 3rd line on my ecas until yesterday when my consultant has forwarded me an email from CHC, London asking for PPR1 !! even without ecas update Thanks God! الحمد لله
The attached letter mentions that PPR2 should arrive withing the next 6 weeks.
Today, Ecas updated with the third line
I would like to thank you all for all the support and sincere advices during this hard, long and hectic process and I wish and pray for all our friends who are still waiting to get a positive update very soon.

Dear all forum members, am very glad to make an announcement that fourth line has been appeared on my process i.e "DECISSION MADE". After 35 month of wait, finally I reached the destination by the grace of god.
Now, how long will they take to return our PP back!!
