shahji,

Did you send this DD earlier or along with the passports?

Do you know if it is also acceptable for LVO to pay RPRF online and to send the receipt via email?

I paid RPRF through demand draft (DD) issued by my Bank (HSBC). There is no proof, i just sent the DD to LVO with a cover letter mentioning the purpose and number of DD with my name and file number written on the back of DD.

Dear LVO aplpicants,

Is there any activity going on within LVO or no these days ? How many MI3cases are still pending to your knowledge ?

Dear awai ali,

Thanks for the prompt reply.

So there is no other choice except sending DD to LVO to pay RPRF.

First it was option in 2012 we can pay fee through standard charted bank using their account by depositing fee but now LVO ask for DD strictly .......

No problem, we have to follow the instructions & procedures. Thanks for your guidance.

No, only $CAD Drafts are accepted.

Fees for Permanent Resident Applications:

The fees for permanent residence application must be paid using a Bank Draft / Bank Cheque in Canadian dollars, made payable to “Receiver General for Canada”. Cash will not be accepted.

Payment by bank draft, bank cheque or postal order to the visa office in London

The bank draft, bank cheque or postal order should be made payable to the: Receiver General for Canada

***Write your name and address on the back of the bank draft***

If your application is received at this office without the processing fee attached, it will be returned to you. In some countries, banks provide the service of forwarding your bank draft / bank cheque directly to this office. Please ensure that this is not done and that your fee accompanies your application.

Important: Bank drafts / bank cheques have limited validity. Ensure that your bank draft / bank cheque is not older than two months when it reaches this office.

This office does not accept:

Cash
Uncertified personal cheques
Company cheques
British pound drafts drawn on foreign banks
Canadian postal orders
Euro-cheques
Credit or debit cards
Canadian dollar drafts where the “clearing bank” is not in Canada (check with your bank if you are unsure)

Fee Schedule:
Skilled worker, provincial nominee, Quebec-selected
Applicant: 550 (processing fee) + 490 (Right of Permanent Resident Fee - RPRF)

Unfortunately, this was the last released inventory data sheet, though I don't think that there was a big difference in the figures since last July 9th as you can notice here in the forum.
Good luck and best wishes

Dear tashford,

I have read your most of the posts in different threads. You believe that LVO is going to complete the process in 25 months.

It is true that there is huge backlog of applications at LVO and they are working on older applications at the moment. But remember that NDVO has also huge backlog but they have started processing FSW 2013 applications without clearing the whole backlog. Same is the case with other Visa Offices; they have small or huge backlogs but they have started processing FSW 2013 applications without clearing backlogs. Therefore, don't worry, LVO will start processing FSW 2013 applications sooner or later without clearing the whole backlog.

As far as moving of the office is concerned, first of all, processing of FSW 2013 is not coupled with the movement of the LVO building. Whenever they have plan to move, they will move and I believe it won't delay the processing of applications in weeks rather only very few days may be. Therefore, don't take tension for the LVO building being sold out and their plan to move to other building.

Sending email or tweet to Minister is not a bad idea but remember that it is quite possible that it may not effect the processing plans of LVO and FSW 2013 applications. But I still believe that they are going to process the application and issue the PR visa in maximum one year time.

Well spoken Abu, I strongly share your view. +1 for you.

Got my Caips notes yesterday, everything is same and nothing changed. Only bfd is 2013/11/07. Nothing else and I am frustrated.

Regards.

Any answers for the following case scenario especially from senior members:
Medicals going to expire on 15Jan 2014, received passport request on 1Dec.2013. What will be the validity of the visa issued.

Hi, your visa will be valid until 15 Jan 2014 when ur medical expires. Otherwise, LVO would have asked u for updated medical. A friend of mine from 2011 application also got 1 month valid visa due to expiration of his medical. So, prepare to fly to Canada on or before 15th of January 2014. Goodluck.
