Dear friends,

After an arduous wait, I have finally received my passport with stamped visa today.

The visa was issued on 8th October.

I guess the Eid holidays caused an abnormal delay.

Thanks to everyone on this forum for all the support, information and advice I have received over the past 2 years.

Good luck to everyone waiting for updates.

congrats to all who have moved to the next stage of processing.
i will b leaving on the 1st of november to toronto.
i have a query:
i attended IOM session and there i was given accompanying goods list and goods to follow list. i wanna know if the list is long and i need another form to list all the things is it ok to photocopy the pages and add it to the original forms or should i just use a blank paper?
further more is it possible to get the original forms for any place.
secondly i will be carrying around 18000 CAD in cash with me. we r three family members. two adult and one kid. is it ok to carry this much money or will i have to declare it at the point of exit and entry.

Mention goods category in the form and attached seperate sheets of each category seprately, like Jewellery, Cloths, household items, electronic items etc
u have to declare that amount at port of entry

Not yet, last CSI reply was received on 19th of July, 2013 with background check may take several months to complete by MCH. After the third line in October2012, it was on the 4th of January when I got a reply from NXR about the post medical background check. Change of Visa officer/asistant occured in April 2013. As I have never applied GCMS so I am not sure any possible factor of delay but I am waiting rather patiently and ideally would like to move in next summer if things worked out. I had traveling history in 3 countries which may be a cause of delay. Would inquire in the end November or early December. I think when they are finished with MI1 applicants they will turn to the left overs of M12 and MI3 and this background check may only be a delaying tactic.
Hope your file moves to the further step on your due date.

I'm still waiting for next step what is called PPR . my medicals will be expired in next month. i have sent them an email to remind them about. they replied that ur back ground check is outstanding ... :-\ :'( :-\ :-X ??? :'( :-\ :-X until when i have to wait then??!!!
as if everything has stopped in my lifeeeee because of this waiting .....

what do u think friends ? what can i do in this situation ??

Dont worry brother we are in same boat
My medical was expired last month
Waiting is frustrating, but this is the only way
Waiting and waiting patiently is required at this stage

Regarding your query:

I think you have to declare your funds regardless of what amount you carry.

CAD$ 18,000 should be ok for you, your spouse and child as a family of three must have minimum $17,000/- with them when entering Canada.

I think the form for goods to follow is available online, although I can't remember where. Look at Qorax's master thread for further assistance:

Medical & RPRF

Hi All,
I am the applicant of FSW1 Apr 2012 and I received an email from LVO yesterday - instructing me to submit my Medical Reports and the pay the RPRF. I seek guidance on the following, in this context. The RPRF Fees is CAD 490.00? because I am the only applicant. Should I pay in UK Pound(£) to the Canadian High Commission by their online service through my credit card.
Is it ok and safe?
Any chance of payment decline?
Or should I go high commission London and pay there?
