I do agree with your argument. It is a matter of luck and also knowing some aspect of bureaucracy perhaps it is to deal with stringent, non sense system where things could be verified in a week it may take a year. But who cares. This world has neither been just nor would be in future. It is completely anti the system under which people live in Canada. However, hope is our only way forward.

I am absolutely not desperate and enjoying a very good quality of life and a sound professional career. Also, as I have already spent six years of my life in USA and UK both working and getting education, there is nothing going to be new for me in Canada and the quality of life I enjoy today it will realistically speaking may take 10 years to get there. Still I believe it is worth it because we make choices in life. However, I am absolutely sure what it takes to be an immigrant. What I was referring to knowing the system in the West and the kind of services they provide in the immigration system is highly incompatible. Anyways, thanks for your sympathy.

I need opinion of senior members especially Mr Engineer & Sir Qorax.
3rd line(Medicals have been received) was added in May2013 but no passport request yet. I sent an e-mail to London visa office 2 days back and received an answer today "your application is awaiting review by immigration officer".
What does it mean? Are my background & security checks over? And when should I expect passport request?

I am absolutely not desperate and enjoying a very good quality of life and a sound professional career. Most probably you will get PPR after the next review. However, if security checks are pending then a long wait.

now all correspondence by email, but if you have not given them email then they might be posting it regular mail.

usually it is emailed and hard copy dispatched through postal mail simultaneously, sometimes they only dispatch through postal mail also and no email !

All the MRs as per new procedure been sent via email no post.When u get a MR form via email,visa officer sends another email confirming if u MR has been received.They also mention in the same email that as per new procedure MR is only sent by email not by post.

its real info, ...since when have they started following the new procedure cuz I know few guys who got it both by email and by post simultaneously almost two months ago.
