The whole thing about this process is putting your life on hold until the process is either completed or terminated. You have passed your medicals so there is no chance of rejection if you are confident about security checks etc. It is very frustrating and impossible to plan future life, work and family decisions until this is over. You will hear something sooner rather than later so hang in there.

I will check out that restaurant as my wife is a big Indian/ Pakistani foodie. Thanks for the tip although will be gunning for you if i get Delhi Belly! ;D

Wise words farney. I can see how you managed to retain your composure through the painstaking process.

I can't think of any reason why my security checks should cause an issue. Then again, I could never have imagined that this entire process would take so long after having breezed through to Canada when I went there as a student.

I am hanging on by the tips of my fingernails!

Regarding the restaurant, the risk of Delhi Belly aside, your wife will appreciate the tip if she's a fan of indo-pak food. I must admitt that my recommendation is based on what the food was like 7 years ago so maybe the standards have diminished.

I also found it to be a fascinating place to meet both newly arrived as well as well settled immigrants (albeit mostly from the South Asian diaspora) who can occasionaly offer some unique tips and advice when one is travelling in Toronto (or trying to settle down as a newcomer).

Condolences for Celtic's loss to Shaktar last night. They should still come through over two legs though.

Give it at least 4 weeks as a minimum. Could be longer but not anything more that 6 weeks.
